Evaluations typically last 45-60 minutes in length. Evaluations may consist of standardized assessments, dependent upon child's age, in order to test and compare their skill levels. Evaluations also consist of observations and non-standardized assessments that the occupational therapist will conduct. The OT will then determine the frequency of visits required!
OT services can be provided to the pediatric population, ages 0-18. Children who have a variety of diagnoses may qualify. Children who have a difficult time completing their daily tasks such as dressing, school work, eating, sensory, endurance, working memory, and more can benefit from OT. We work with a holistic approach, focusing on the entire child's needs and increasing their fine, gross, and sensory motor capabilities.
Upon completion of an evaluation, an individualized treatment plan will be developed based upon your child's current skill level. Treatment plans are unique according to your child's strengths and interests. All therapy sessions will be FUN, motivational, and challenging. Treatment plans will be updated upon mastering age appropriate developmental skills.
